Mexico may not be known for its monks, but they’re there.  Which made this really cool Goebel goblet I found on Ebay perfect for a Blue Agave Margarita. I highly recommend a tequila made from 100% Blue Agave for this drink. Patron Silver is handcrafted from 100% Weber Blue Agave and is distilled in small batches in Jalisco, Mexico.  el Jimador 100% Blue Agave Tequila is also produced from Blue Agave and has no added colors, making for a great cocktail.  Agave is a succulent, and one of the most commonly used sweeteners in the world.  Blue agave is 1.5 times as sweet as sugar.  This concoction is the perfect blend of sweet and sour.  Drink judiciously, but definitely not like a monk.  In my opinion, self-denial is not a virtue.

Ingredients

    Directions

Have fresh limes on hand at all times. Please.

    Step 1

Hand squeeze the limes! You only need one ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice.

    Step 2

Put a scoop of ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Pour in the tequila, the lime juice and the Patron Citronge Orange. Add the simple sugar syrup. Listen to Luke Bryan singing, "One Margarita." Put some ice cubes into a pretty coupe or martini glass. Strain the margarita into the glass and garnish with a lime wedge or an orange wedge and/or a fancy cherry.
